The Quality system at Jasmin is formed by well evolved quality systems – Jasmin Knowledge Database (JKDB) and Jasmin Project Database (JPD).   The JKDB has a comprehensive repository for all the Jasmin Quality Management System (JQMS) which includes software and the Hardware life cycle, project management processes and methodologies.   The JQMS is available to all the project personnel through intranet.  It includes the checklists, document templates and standards & guidelines for various quality processes.

Jasmin has a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team which maintains and enhances the repository, based on the experiences gained from the project implementation and bench marking against international practices. Adherence to QUALITY GUIDELINES laid by Jasmin Infotech for assembly language programming as per ISO/IEC 9899:1990 for C coding Standards, as per ISO/IEC DTR 18037 for C language programming extensions, as per ISO/IEC 14882:1998(E) for C++ coding standards and MISRA “C” guidelines.

Jasmin has detailed checklists, standards, templates and guidelines exist within the processes to bring in rigor and predictability into every aspect of project planning and execution. These processes and templates exist across various types of projects (reengineering, maintenance, development, package implementation, etc) represents every aspect of the project (requirements analysis, change/ configuration management, tailoring, defect or schedule estimation, etc).

The JKDB also consists of project metrics database, process metrics database and a process-capability baseline. Project leaders use these to estimate effort, schedule tasks and predict defect levels during the project-planning phase. The process database is based on data from past projects and ensures that project plans are realistic. Further, project monitoring based on these metrics increases its effectiveness.

All quality systems are available in the organization-wide Intranet. Honed over a period of several years, these systems have facilitated the creation of a process-oriented mind-set at Jasmin. Jasmin always sticks to its commitment and consistently delivers quality software and hardware solutions on time, hinges on these quality systems.
